Q: How do you install the IAC valve?
A:
You need to measure the distance between the tip of the IAC valve pintle and mounting flange, lubricate the IAC valve O-ring with clean engine oil and install the IAC valve assembly and the IAC valve attaching fasteners. Then you can connect the IAC valve harness connector and reset the IAC valve pintle position.

A:
You need to disconnect the accelerator cable from the Throttle Body lever and remove the accelerator cable from the accelerator cable bracket, the accelerator cable from the cable routing bracket, the accelerator cable from the accelerator pedal, and the accelerator cable from the dash panel.
Q: What is the removal procedure for the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable and the MAP Sensor harness connector, remove the MAP sensor by pulling straight up with a slight rocking motion and the MAP sensor grommet and discard the MAP sensor grommet.
Q: How do you remove the upper intake manifold?
A:
You need to remove the vacuum brake booster hose, if equipped, and disconnect the accelerator control and cruise control cables (if equipped). Remove the accelerator control cable bracket and set it aside, the PCV tube at the Intake Manifold, the engine wiring harness bracket from the manifold, the EVAP canister purge solenoid valve, the studs holding the upper intake manifold to the lower intake manifold, and the lower intake manifold.
