01/11/2022Q: How do you remove the filler tube?
A:
You can drain the fuel tank to a level below the fuel fill hose, remove the left rear wheelhouse liner, then using compressed air, blow any dirt and/or debris from around the fuel fill pipe and evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections, next loosen the fuel fill hose clamp at the fill pipe, disconnect the fuel fill hose from the fuel fill pipe, and disconnect the fuel tank EVAP recirculation line quick connect fitting from the fill pipeline, then remove the fuel fill pipe ground strap bolt, disconnect the fill pipe vent line quick connect fitting from the EVAP canister, and lower the vehicle, then remove the fuel tank fill pocket opening grommet, and remove the fuel tank fill pipe out through the opening in the pocket.

You may need to install the fuel fill hose to the fuel tank. Ensure that the notch in the fill hose is aligned with the notch on the fuel tank, tighten the fuel fill hose clamp at the fuel tank to 4 N.m (35 lb in), then install the fuel tank.
