2008 Cadillac DTS Fuel Injector

You may need to lubricate the new O-rings seals with clean engine oil, install the new upper and lower injector O-rings seal onto the fuel injector, install the fuel injector into the fuel rail, then install the fuel injector fuel rail clip and the fuel rail.

You will need to remove the fuel rail, the fuel injector fuel rail clip, and the fuel injector and then remove and discard the fuel injector upper and lower O-ring seals.

You will need to grasp the intake manifold sight shield cover at the left and right sides, lift it up to disengage the cover from the ball stud, and remove the intake manifold sight shield cover from under the tab on the secondary air injection (AIR) check valve bracket, then remove the intake manifold sight shield cover, remove the rear intake manifold sight shield if necessary, remove the AIR check valve, then disengage the cover from the ball studs, and remove the rear intake manifold sight shield cover.

You may need to install the rear intake manifold sight shield if necessary, position the rear intake manifold sight shield cover over the ball studs, then engage the cover to the ball studs, install the AIR check valve, and install the intake manifold sight shield cover under the tab on the AIR check valve bracket, position the intake manifold sight shield cover over the ball studs, next press down on the intake manifold sight shield cover over the balls stud to engage the cover to the ball studs.
