Do not use on any interior surface that plain water would deteriorate, because this product will have the same effect. You can use a wet vacuum to remove the excess moisture, blot the face of the carpet with a towel to absorb as much moisture as possible, point a fan at the affected area, and air dry the carpet.

Starting at the rear edge, pull the floor carpet retainers upward to disengage the retaining clips. Remove the driver's side floor carpet retainer. Remove the passenger's side floor carpet retainer.
