2000 Cadillac Escalade Fuel Injector

You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, relieve the fuel system pressure and remove the upper intake manifold assembly, the fuel meter body assembly, the injector assembly retainer, and the injector retainer lock nuts. While pulling the poppet nozzle tube downward, push with a small tip punch down between the injector terminals until the injector is removed.

You need to lubricate the new injector O-ring seals with clean engine oil and install the O-rings on the injector assembly, the fuel injector assembly into the fuel meter body injector socket, the injector assembly retainer, and the injector retainer lock nuts, the fuel meter body assembly and the upper intake manifold assembly. Tighten the fuel filler cap, connect the negative battery cable and then inspect for leaks.
