Q: How to calibrate the steering position sensor with a scan tool?
A:
You shall align the front wheels in the center forward position, apply the parking brake, or set the transmission in the PARK position, turn the ignition switch ON, with the engine OFF, clear any DTCs that may be set, perform the EBCM, Special Functions, Steering Pos. Sensor Calibration with a scan tool, follow the scan tool directions to complete the calibration procedure, press Exit and cycle the ignition OFF, open the driver door to cancel the Retained Accessory Power, wait one minute, cycle the ignition ON, and clear all DTCs.

Q: How to service the steering angle sensor?
A:
You shall disconnect any electrical connector as needed, squeeze the plastic retaining tabs on the supplemental inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil to release and disengage the steering angle sensor, and center the steering angle sensor after installation.
