2010 Cadillac SRX Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir

First, you should install the power Brake Booster vacuum sensor to the vacuum hose. Then, you should secure the spring clamp to the vacuum hose and connect the power vacuum brake booster vacuum sensor electrical connector. After that, you should install the master cylinder heat shield, if equipped, and install the master cylinder heat shield bolt and the master cylinder heat shield nuts.

First, you should secure the mounting flange of the Brake Master Cylinder in a bench vise. Second, you should remove the master cylinder reservoir cap and diaphragm and install suitable fittings to the master cylinder ports and provide for hose attachment. Third, you should route the hoses into the master cylinder reservoir. After that, you should fill the master cylinder reservoir and ensure that the ends of the transparent hoses are fully submerged in the brake fluid. Then, you should depress and release the primary piston and observe the flow of fluid coming from the ports. Then, you should continue to depress and release the primary piston. After that, you should remove the transparent hoses and install the master cylinder reservoir cap and diaphragm. Finally, you should remove the fittings with the transparent hoses from the master cylinder ports, wrap the master cylinder with a clean shop cloth to prevent brake fluid spills, and remove the master cylinder from the vise.

You should apply the brake pedal several times to deplete the vacuum brake booster vacuum reserve, remove the intake manifold cover and the power brake booster vacuum sensor and release the power vacuum brake booster hose quick-connects at the engine and the power vacuum brake booster hose from the retainers on the dash panel and the right side rail. Then, you should raise and support the vehicle, remove the radiator air lower deflector, release the power vacuum brake booster hose from the retainer, the power vacuum brake booster quick connect and disconnect the hose from the auxiliary pump fitting, release the power vacuum brake booster hose retainer and remove the power vacuum brake booster check valve and hose assembly.
