The accelerator pedal should operate freely, without binding, between a closed throttle, and a wide open throttle (WOT). Then you can start the engine, inspect for coolant leaks and then perform the throttle learn procedure.

You need to remove the air cleaner outlet duct, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the electronic throttle control and remove the throttle body nuts and bolts and the throttle body and remove and discard the throttle body gasket.

You need to remove the air cleaner outlet duct, inspect the throttle body bore and the throttle plate for deposits, clean the throttle body bore and the throttle plate, install the air cleaner outlet duct, and perform the throttle learn procedure.
