2009 Chevrolet Avalanche Floor Pan

The proper way is to remove the catalytic converter, the muffler, and the heat shield.

The procedure is to install the heat shield nuts, tighten the nuts to 9 Nm, and install the catalytic converter.

First, disable the roof rail SIR system and remove the rear seats and the rear seat belt buckles. Next, remove the back body opening molding, the back rear corner upper molding, and the rear door sill plate. Finally, remove the lock pillar molding and the body side trim panel.

Make sure to use a wet vacuum to remove the excess moisture. Next, blot the face of the carpet with a towel to absorb as much moisture as possible and point a fan at the affected area.

First remove the front seats, rear seats, and the floor console. Next remove the front seat belt buckles, front/rear door sill plates, and the front hinge pillar trim panels. Finally, remove the center pillar lower molding.
