2009 Cadillac XLR Thermostat Housing

Install the new water outlet housing gaskets and the water outlet housing with bypass hose to the vehicle. Next, install the water outlet housing bolts and tighten them to 25 Nm. Install the bypass hose clamp in the proper position and the radiator hose to the water outlet housing. After that, install the two coolant hoses to the water outlet housing, and install the supercharger idler pulley and the supercharger belt tensioner. Next, install the supercharger assembly and fill the charge air cooling system with coolant. Finally, fill the engine cooling system with coolant.

First, clean the thermostat housing and water housing sealing surfaces. Next, install the thermostat and the new seal to the thermostat housing. After that install the thermostat housing bolts and tighten them to 10 Nm. Install the heater hose to the thermostat housing and the radiator hose to the thermostat housing.
