Q: How to enable the parking brake cable adjuster?
A:
You can raise and support the vehicle, remove the rear tire and wheel assembly, install the park brake cable to the left and right park brake actuators, install the rear tire and wheel assembly, remove any rivet, drill bit, or cotter key from the park brake lever, install the park brake cable to the park brake lever, install the carpet to its original position and then cycle the park brake lever three times to obtain proper park brake cable tension.

Q: How to remove the parking brake front cable?
A:
You can remove the park brake lever, raise and support the vehicle, remove the right-hand (RH) muffler, disconnect the rear park brake cables from the equalizer, disconnect the front park brake cable, remove the front park brake cable bracket from the tunnel, remove the front cable from the vehicle and then remove the pass-through grommet and front bracket from the cable.

Q: How to disable the parking brake cable adjuster?
A:
You can raise and support the vehicle, remove the rear tire and wheel assembly, disconnect the park brake cable, replace the carpet away from the park brake lever and then pull the disconnected park brake cable downward until it is fully extended and insert a rivet, drill bit or cotter key through the holes in the park brake lever mechanism as they line up. You should not overextend the cable.
