The proper way is to install new O-rings in the seal area recess of the new receiver-dryer, install the receiver-dryer into the clamp position, install the connector block retaining bolt to the receiver-dryer, and then install and tighten the band clamp bolt.

A:
The proper way is to disconnect the negative battery cable, recover the refrigerant, remove the screw that secures the receiver-dryer band clamp, and then remove the receiver-dryer with the bolts.
