A:
You should take care to avoid chipping or scratching the coating when handling the suspension coil spring and damage to the coating can cause premature failure.

Q: How to remove the Shock, Shock Component, and/or Spring?
A:
You should use care when handling the coil springs to avoid chipping or scratching the coating, raise and support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel and the shock module from the vehicle, install the shock module into the spring compressor, mark the upper control arm assembly and insulator for proper installation, turn the spring compressor forcing screw until the coil spring is compressed, remove the magnitude sensor nut, the shock absorber upper retaining nut and the shock absorber from the shock module, loosen the compressor forcing screw until the upper mounting plate and coil spring may be removed and remove the upper control arm bracket assembly, insulator and coil spring from the spring compressor.

You should raise and support the vehicle and remove the rear coil spring, the upper coil spring insulator, and the lower coil spring insulator.

A:
You should raise and support the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel, disconnect the automatic level control sensor link from the upper control arm and the headlamp adjustment link from the upper control arm, support and raise the lower control arm using a suitable jack, remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt, lower the lower control arm and remove the support, support the rear frame with a suitable jack, remove the frame to body side mounting bolts and washers, lower the side of the frame and remove the coil spring from the vehicle.
