2008 Cadillac SRX Brake Booster

You should remove the right closeout/insulator panel, the vacuum brake booster push rod retaining clip, the vacuum brake booster pushrod, the cross vehicle brace, the master cylinder from the vacuum brake booster, and the air inlet grille panel, disconnect the vacuum brake booster check valve from the vacuum brake booster, attach the J 22805-B to the vacuum brake booster, unlock the vacuum brake booster from the front of the cowl, depress the vacuum brake booster locking tab out of the cowl mounting flange, remove the vacuum brake booster from the cowl mounting flange, support the vacuum brake booster, push the vacuum brake booster foam filter in enough to access the vacuum brake booster retaining clip, lift the longer leg of the retaining clip upward and remove the pushrod from the vacuum brake booster.

You should remove the left side instrument panel insulator panel, the vacuum brake booster push rod retaining clip, the vacuum brake booster pushrod, the cross vehicle brace, the master cylinder, and the air inlet grille panel, access the vacuum brake booster locking tab, disconnect the vacuum brake booster check valve and vacuum hose assembly, remove the surge tank nut and bolt, install the J 22805-B to the vacuum brake booster, depress the vacuum brake booster locking tab, turn the vacuum brake booster counter clockwise with a ratchet on the J 22805-B, remove the vacuum brake booster from the cowl mounting flange, support the vacuum brake booster, access the vacuum brake booster retaining clip, lift the longer leg of the retaining clip upward and remove the pushrod from the vacuum brake booster.
