2008 Cadillac CTS Timing Chain

First, you need to remove the engine front cover, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain. Then, please remove the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide, the primary camshaft drive chain, and the right bank camshaft intermediate drive chain idler. Finally, you should remove the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, the left bank camshaft intermediate drive chain idler, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain and clean and inspect all of the camshaft timing drive components.

First, you need to remove the engine front cover. Then, please remove the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe. Finally, you should remove the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain.

First, you need to remove the engine front cover, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain. Then, please remove the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide, the primary camshaft drive chain, and the right bank camshaft intermediate drive chain idler. If you are servicing the left bank camshaft intermediate drive chain idler, you should remove the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, the left bank secondary camshaft drive chain and the left bank camshaft intermediate drive chain idler.

First, you need to install the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain. Then, please install the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe. Finally, you should install the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner and the engine front cover.

First, you need to install the primary camshaft timing chain, the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide, and the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner. Then, please install the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, and the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe. Finally, you should install the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner and the engine front cover.
