2008 Cadillac CTS Catalytic Converter

You should tighten the catalytic converter nuts to 50Nm (37 lb-ft).

First, you need to remove the left bank exhaust manifold heat shield and the catalytic converter nuts. Then, please raise and support the vehicle, and disconnect the oxygen sensor electrical connector and the muffler pipe. Finally, you should remove the exhaust pipe to the right bank catalytic converter nuts, remove the catalytic converter with the seal/heat shield and oxygen sensor from the exhaust manifold, and remove the oxygen sensor from the catalytic converter.

First, you need to install the oxygen sensor and the catalytic converter seal/heat shield to the catalytic converter. Then, please install the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold and install the catalytic converter nuts. You need to connect the oxygen sensor electrical connector. Install the exhaust pipe and nuts to the left and right side catalytic converters. You need to lower the vehicle and tighten the catalytic converter to the exhaust manifold nuts. Finally, please install the right bank exhaust manifold heat shield.
