2008 Cadillac CTS Oil Filter

First, you need to install the Oil Filter Adapter, install the bolts securing the wire harness bracket to the oil filter adapter and install the A/C compressor with the A/C pipes to the engine. Then, please install the power steering pump bolts and connect the oil pressure sensor electrical connector. Finally, you should install the A/C compressor, the power steering drive belt, and the oil filter.

First, you need to remove the engine front cover, and the power steering hose retainer and disconnect the intermediate steering shaft. Then, please remove the engine mount lower nuts, the A/C compressor bracket bolts and drain the engine oil, remove the transmission oil cooler pipe retainer from the engine right side. Finally, you should install the engine support fixture, tighten the support fixture wing nuts to provide clearance for the Oil Pan, and remove, clean and inspect the oil pan.

First, you need to remove the front compartment sight shield and remove the oil level indicator from the oil level indicator tube. Then, please remove the oil level indicator tube bolt, raise the vehicle, remove the knock sensor and remove the heat shield clip from the oil level indicator tube. Finally, you should lower the vehicle and remove the oil level indicator tube up through the exhaust manifold. If you are replacing only the oil level indicator tube seal, you should remove and discard the old seal.
