Q: What is the rack and pinion boot assembly procedure?
A:
Install the new boot clamp onto the rack and pinion boot. Install the rack and pinion boot onto the inner tie rod assembly and install the breather tube while aligning the breather tube with the mark made during removal. Install the boot clamp on the rack and pinion boot with J 22610and pinch the pliers together on the rack/pinion boot. Next, install the tie rod end clamp onto the rack and pinion boot and install the hexagon jam nut to the inner tie rod assembly.

A:
Install the outer tie rod assembly to the inner tie rod assembly. Next, install the outer tie rod assembly to the steering knuckle and the prevailing torque nut to the outer tie rod assembly. Tighten the nut to 30 Nm and install the wheel/tire assembly.
