Q: How do you install the Primary Camshaft Drive Chain and Sprockets?
A:
You need to ensure the crankshaft sprocket is installed with the timing mark visible, install the crankshaft sprocket onto the nose of the crankshaft, align the notch in the crankshaft sprocket with the pin in the crankshaft, slide the crankshaft sprocket on the crankshaft nose until the crankshaft sprocket contacts the step in the crankshaft, ensure the crankshaft is in the stage one timing position with the crankshaft sprocket timing mark aligned to the stage one timing mark on the oil pump cover, and then install the primary camshaft timing chain, the primary upper camshaft drive chain guide, the primary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain guide, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain shoe, the right bank secondary camshaft drive chain tensioner, the spark plugs, and the engine front cover.
