Q: How to install the expansion (orifice) tube?
A:
You need to uncap or unplug the evaporator tube, install the new O-ring seal and the short screen end of the new orifice, connect the evaporator tube, evacuate and recharge the system, and leak test the fittings of the repaired component.

A:
You need to recover the refrigerant, loosen the nut from the evaporator tube fitting, remove the orifice tube from the evaporator tube, and cap or plug the open line.
