You can inspect the fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir, remove brake fluid to the midway point, raise the vehicle, remove the rear tire and the wheel assembly, install a hand-tightened lug nut, compress the caliper piston, remove the upper caliper bolt, pivot the caliper down, remove the brake pads and the 2 pad clips, inspect the caliper mounting hardware, inspect the caliper dust boot and inspect the caliper bolts for corrosion or damage.
