Q: What should be done before servicing the Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose?
A:
Remove the drive belt, place a drain pan under the vehicle, raise and lower the vehicle as necessary to access the power steering hose fitting at the rack and pinion, and fill and bleed the power steering system after the repair has been completed.

If this were to occur, the driver would likely notice a fluid spot under the vehicle when the vehicle is parked and a decrease in the power steering assist. If enough fluid were lost, damage to the power steering pump could occur.
