2005 Buick Park Avenue Valve Cover

First, you need to install the new valve rocker arm cover gasket, install the left valve rocker arm cover to the cylinder head, and apply thread lock compound GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the valve rocker arm cover bolt threads. Then, please install the left valve rocker arm cover bolts. Finally, you should connect the left spark plug wire harness and install the fuel injector sight shield.

First, you need to remove the fuel injector sight shield, disconnect the left spark plug wire harness, and position it aside. Then, please remove the left valve rocker arm cover, and the left valve rocker arm cover gasket. Finally, you should clean the sealing surface on the cylinder head, clean the valve rocker arm cover bolts of all thread locking adhesive, and clean and inspect the valve rocker arm cover.

First, you need to remove the fuel injector sight shield, disconnect the right spark plug wire harness, position it aside, and remove the drive belt tensioner. Then, please disconnect the vacuum brake booster hose from the vacuum connections, position it aside, disconnect the MAP sensor connector and hose, and remove the right valve rocker arm cover. Finally, you should clean the sealing surface on the cylinder head, clean the valve rocker arm cover bolts of all thread locking adhesive, and clean and inspect the valve rocker arm cover.

The recommended torque is 10 N.m (89 lb in).
