Q: How do you install the Spark Plug?
A:
You need to gap the spark plugs to the specifications and install the spark plugs to the engine and the spark plug wires to the spark plugs. If you are replacing the engine's right bank (rear) spark plugs, you need to return the engine to the original position and remove the J 41131 and install the windshield wiper module cover. Then you can install the engine mount struts.

If you are replacing the engine's right bank (rear) spark plugs, you need to remove the windshield wiper module cover and rotate the engine for service access and remove the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and the spark plugs from the engine.

01/11/2022Q: What is the recommended torque for the spark plugs?
A:
If installing the spark plugs to a new cylinder head tighten the spark plugs to 20 N.m (15 lb-ft). If installing the spark plugs to an existing cylinder head tighten the spark plugs to 15 N.m (11 lb-ft).
