Q: How do you install the Lower Control Arm Bushings (Vertical)?
A:
You need to align the flat edge of the bushing flange to the mark in the control arm, ensure that the flat edge of the bushing flange is 30 degrees from the centerline of the lower control arm and ensure that the thin slot in the bushing is facing outboard, insert the bushing into the control arm and assemble the following bushing installation tools: J 21474-27, J 21474-13, J 21474-5 and J 21474-4, and tighten J 21474-4, disassemble the bushing installation tools and install the lower control arm.

Q: How do you remove the Lower Control Arm Bushings (Vertical)?
A:
You need to remove the lower control arm, secure the lower control arm in a vice, mark the lower control arm along the flat edge of the bushing flange and assemble the following bushing removal tools: J 21474-27, J 21474-13, J 34126, J 35379, J 21474-2 and J 21474-4, and tighten J 21474-4 and disassemble the bushing removal tools.

You need to remove the lower control arm, secure the lower control arm in a vise and assemble the bushing removal tools as indicated: the nut, The J 21474-01 washer, the J 21474-01 bearing, the J 21474-5 and the J 21474-01 puller bolt, and tighten the puller bolt until the bushing is removed and disassemble the J 21474-01 and J 21474-5.

You need to lubricate the bushing with liquid hand soap or equivalent, and assemble the following bushing installation tools as indicated: the nut, the J 21474-01 washer, the J 21474-01 bearing, the J 21474-5 and the J 21474-01 puller bolt, and then tighten the puller bolt until the bushing is installed into the control arm, disassemble the J 21474-01 and J 21474-5, remove the control arm from the vice and install the lower control arm.
