Q: How do you remove the Proportioning Valve?
A:
You need to remove the master cylinder reservoir, the proportioning valve caps, the O-rings, the springs, and the proportioning valve pistons, carefully use needle nose pliers so that you do not damage the piston stems, and remove the proportioning valve seals from the pistons, inspect the proportioning valve pistons for corrosion and deformation, replace the valve pistons if necessary, clean all of the parts in clean, denatured alcohol and dry the parts with non-lubricated compressed air.

Q: How do you install the Proportioning Valve?
A:
You need to install new seals on the proportioning valve pistons, ensure that the lip seals face up toward the cap, and install the proportioning valve pistons and the seals in the master cylinder body, the springs in the master cylinder body, new O-rings in the grooves in the proportioning valve caps, the proportioning valve caps in the master cylinder body and the master cylinder reservoir and bleed the brakes.
