2002 Buick Regal Ball Joint

You need to remove the left side instrument panel insulator, the left side carpet retainers, and the lower center pillar trim panel, fold back the carpeting, remove the Parking Brake Cable, raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the brake cable, lower the vehicle, and remove the cable button end and the front cable.

You need to raise and suitably support the vehicle, remove the bearing/hub assembly, the front lower control arm ball stud, and the outer tie rod end from the Steering Knuckle, scribe the strut to the knuckle and remove the bolts and nuts attaching the strut, and the knuckle from the vehicle.

You need to disable the SIR system, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module, the steering wheel, the left instrument panel insulator, the trim panel below the steering column, the knee bolster, the intermediate Steering Shaft, the shift indicator cable, the casing and the automatic control indicator adjuster or the park lock cable, disconnect the automatic transmission range selector cable, remove the transaxle shift cable casing, the mounting bolts, disconnect the steering column electrical connectors, loosen the bolt, separate the two halves of the steering column electrical connector, and remove the steering column.
