The procedure is to open the rear compartment, remove the screws from the high-mounted stop lamp, depress the retainers, remove the high-mounted stop lamp and disconnect the electrical connector.

You can verify the correct Starter motor is being installed, align the starter motor to the engine, install any shims and the starter bolts, connect the positive battery cable, install the solenoid BAT terminal nut, connect the starter solenoid wire, install the starter solenoid S terminal nut, install the torque converter covers, install the front lower air deflector panel, lower the vehicle and connect the battery negative cable.
