01/11/2022Q: How do you replace the thermostat?
A:
You can remove the fuel injector sight shield, drain the cooling system, reposition the hose clamp at the water outlet housing, disconnect the radiator hose from the water outlet housing, remove the water outlet housing bolts, the water outlet housing, gasket, and the thermostat and inspect and clean the mating surfaces.

01/11/2022Q: How do you replace the thermostat bypass pipes?
A:
You can drain the cooling system, remove the throttle body air inlet duct and the LH engine mount strut, disconnect the left bank spark plugs wires, reposition the radiator inlet hose clamp, disconnect the radiator inlet hose at the thermostat housing, disconnect the heater outlet hose, disconnect the throttle body inlet and outlet hoses, remove the thermostat bypass pipe nut, reposition the hose clamp at the thermostat bypass pipe, disconnect the thermostat bypass pipe hose, remove the thermostat bypass pipe bolt and remove the thermostat bypass pipe.

A:
You can install the thermostat, the gasket, and the water outlet housing, install the water outlet housing bolts, connect the radiator hose to the water outlet housing, install the hose clamp to the water outlet housing, fill the cooling system and inspect for leaks.
