You need to drain the coolant from the radiator, remove the upper fan shroud, the drive belt and the fan, the fan clutch, and the pulley from the coolant pump. Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from the coolant pump, the heater hose from the coolant pump, and the bypass hose. Then you can remove the Water Pump bolts and the coolant pump from the engine block and clean the mating surfaces on the coolant pump and the engine block.

You need to remove the grill, the hose clip bolt, the cooler line flair nuts from the Engine Oil Cooler, the cooler lines from the engine oil cooler, the engine oil cooler mounting bolts, and the engine oil cooler from the mounting brackets.

You need to drain the coolant until the radiator coolant level is below the Thermostats. For the 5.7L only, remove the following items: the bolts or studs, the coolant outlet, the thermostat from the housing, and the gasket. For the 7.4L only, remove the following items: the bolts or studs, the coolant outlet, the thermostat from the housing, and the gasket. Then you can clean the thermostat housing and the cooling outlet sealing surfaces.
