You need to release the parking brake, raise the vehicle, support the vehicle with suitable safety stands and loosen the adjusting nut at the equalizer. Remove the connector and disconnect the cable from the park brake lever. Then bend the retaining fingers at the frame bracket and disconnect the front cable.

Next, install the outer brake pad onto the caliper, file the leading edge of the brake pad tang to aid in the installation of the brake pad to the caliper, and install the caliper. Then pump the brakes until the brake pedal is firm before moving the vehicle and check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder after pumping the brakes.
