About Saturn LW300
The Saturn LW300 was produced as the LW2 until 2001, when it was renamed. It was the base model with electric windows, mirrors, locks, and fog lights. The LW300 had a V6 engine and an automatic gearbox. It was either a four-door sedan or a five-door station wagon. The company addressed the safety issue by introducing optional parts like front and rear airbags on all trim levels. All Saturn LW300 sedans are now equipped with three-point seat belts in the rear center seats. Later in the model year, sedans will also be equipped with a trunk grab handle.
Although the customers are very loyal to the line of small cars, researchers have found that owners are more likely to switch to a mid-size car when they change models. Therefore, it makes sense for both the company and its loyal customers to enter the mid-size car market. In 2001, the brand slightly changed the names of the L-series trim levels to avoid confusion with the names of the S-series models. One of these was the larger Saturn LW300 Wagon. All models featured parts like air conditioning, independent suspension, emergency alarms, and front and rear disc and drum brakes.

The LW300 has a spacious interior and logical, comfortable controls. Seating is designed to provide all-day comfort. The sedan has 17.5 cubic feet of luggage space. With the rear seats folded down, the van has 79 cubic feet of luggage space. Unlike other models, the Saturn LW300 has steel side panels. Engineers were able to apply Saturn-made impact-resistant polymer panels to the doors and bumpers. Side airbags were offered as standard parts for the sedans in 2002.
Both the front and the back of the sedan underwent revisions in the year 2003. The automobiles all got brand new front ends as well as new taillights. Silver veneer replaced the wood veneer on the dashboard, and new parts like alloy wheels were put in. Once again, traction control and anti-lock brakes were considered optional extras. In 2004, the LW300 models were given the new name Saturn L300.
