About Saturn LW1
The Saturn LW1 is a mid-size car produced by Saturn Corporation, a division of General Motors Company, between 1999 and 2000. The first LW1 was introduced in 2000 as a four-door, front-wheel-drive station wagon. It was also part of its predecessor L-series. It was based on the European Opel Vectra B, built at GM's Wilmington, Delaware plant, and was similar to the LS1, except that LW1 was a station wagon.
The Saturn LW1 was a popular car because it was priced lower than its competitors but had the same power, parts, and even the same looks. The LW1 featured parts like a four-stroke L61 gasoline engine producing 137 hp and 147 pound-feet of torque. The engine was mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 4-speed automatic gearbox with a Getrag F23 transmission. Standard parts on the Saturn LW1 included manual climate control and cloth seat covers.

Despite some changes, the Saturn LW1 has retained its German heritage. The chassis appears to have been an excellent choice, as the body structure is quite rigid. On top of this impressive structure is the characteristic composite body. These composite panels are resistant to rust and minor dents. The rear fender parts and tailgate of the Saturn LW1 are made of steel. The engineers understood that a large car needed a large trunk. And that is one area where the extra rigidity of steel is needed. The Saturn LW1 is not to be confused with any other cars. The intricate lines of the hood and bumpers, combined with the sharply cut windshield, sloping and tall tailgate, indicate the visual senses that you are indeed in front of a stylish car.
In the cabin, the sound system sits above the air conditioning, and the controls are large and easy to use while driving. The steering wheel is lowered on both sides in a spiral shape, making it easy to reach the correct positions. Driver and passenger airbags are standard parts. The door panels help reduce the force of a collision. A stronger body is important to reduce the risk of injury in a collision. The LW1 is a car that makes the company look forward to the future with more hope. The company makes a good car at a reasonable price and stays in business because of this.
