Turbocharger boost sensor purpose

The boost pressure sensor is an essential component that calculates the amount of boost pressure in the intake manifold. The calculations let the ECU work out the air pressure data at any moment. The sensor controls the boost level inside the intake manifold and it calculates the pressure and keeps track of the speed as well as airflow pressure. The ECU takes this information to boost or delay the timing when you are driving.

Common problems with a faulty turbocharger boost sensor

A defective turbocharger boost sensor can lead to poor engine performance, erratic boost pressure, or poor fuel economy.
