The door lock cylinder is a vital part of the car since that is where you insert the key to access the vehicle. Many modern cars still have a keyed lock to access one of the doors using a key inside the remote.

The car door lock is usually installed in the front door of the vehicle. They are responsible for keeping the doors locked or unlocked. Although nowadays many vehicles do not have a door lock cylinder, most cars can still be found with a door lock.

The door lock cylinder works with the use of a key that goes through a small dust shield. Once it goes in and moves the pins inside, it will allow the lock cylinder to rotate and unlock or lock the vehicle.

Problems with a bad door lock cylinder

A faulty door lock cylinder can cause the user trouble opening the vehicle and it can get stuck and be difficult to insert the key.
