The vacuum advance is composed of a vacuum canister, linkage, and an advance plate connected to the trigger device in the distributor. Although the vacuum advance distributor is best suited for street cars but has no effect or benefit on full-throttle power. While in a vehicle with a light load and part throttle conditions this feature enhances the throttle response, makes the engine more productive, and runs cooler.
