Q: What is the proper way to remove the air filter compartment?
A:
Peel back the seal on the rear portion of the hood so you have access to remove the windshield washer hose from the air inlet grille panel. Remove two retainers on the inlet grille and move the inlet grille away from the air filter compartment so it gives you access to remove the water deflector. Once it has been moved out of the way and the deflector has been removed, you can now access the air filter compartment and pull it out.
