FAQ for Other Repair Info
Q: What is the proper way to add the washer?
A:
Remove the front wheel hub and bearing and install the washer on the front of the front wheel Driveshaft. A new drive shaft nut will need to be installed as they are not reusable once removed. If the vehicle has already come equipped with a washer, you can simply remove it and replace it with a new washer.
Q: How can the noise be fixed when shifting between gears?
A:
If the noise is coming from the front it can be fixed by removing the front wheel bearing and installing a washer to the front wheel driveshaft. Certain models already come with a washer from the factory, if so just remove the old washer and replace it with a new one.
Q: If water is found in the transmission what components must be replaced?
A:
If water is found in the transmission, the rubber seals, clutch plates and bands, nylon parts, and torque converter need to be replaced. Also, make sure to thoroughly clean the transmission/transmission case so no water is left behind.
