Push the new cable through the firewall and attach the cable to the handle. Once the cable is attached, you can reinstall the handle with the mounting hardware. Attach the opposite end of the cable onto the hood latch and reinstall the latch in place.

A:
The hood latch must be removed and the cable must be disconnected from the hood latch. Remove the bolts holding the hood release handle and disconnect the cable from the handle. Pull the cable through the firewall and replace the cable grommet.
