Push the cable into the new grommet on the firewall and route the cable as necessary. Connect the hood cable to the hood release handle and install the other end onto the hood latch. Reinstall the hood latch in the same location it was first positioned at.

A:
The first thing necessary would be to disconnect the hood cable from the hood latch and hood release handle. Remove the hood release grommet and pull the cable out towards the front of the vehicle.
