Q: How do you properly remove the hood hinge bracket?
A:
Mark the location of the current hinge bracket. Drill out all factory welds and remove the damaged hood hinge bracket. Make sure the surfaces are clean of sealants and debris.

12/10/2021 Q: How do you properly install a new hood hinge bracket?
A:
Clean the surface where the new bracket will be applied to. Drill out 21/64 in pivot holes so the 5/16 in plug weld holes are in the same position as factory welds. Apply weld through primer and position the bracket. Plug weld in 1in stitch weld pattern and apply sealants or anti-corrosion primer to the panel.
