Q: What is the proper way to install the Timing Chain Tensioner?
A:
You can inspect the timing chain tensioner, measure the timing chain tensioner assembly from end to end, remove the piston assembly from the body of the timing chain tensioner, install the EN-45027-2 - tool and the notched end of the piston assembly, turn the ratchet cylinder into the piston, inspect the bore of the tensioner body, install the compressed piston assembly back into the timing chain tensioner body, install the timing chain tensioner assembly, release the timing chain tensioner, install the camshaft cover and connect the negative battery cable.
