Q: What is the proper way to install the camshaft position sensor (intake)?
A:
You can lubricate the CMP sensor O-ring seal with clean engine oil, install the CMP sensor and the CMP sensor bolt, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector, install the fuel pump cover and install the intake manifold cover.

You should remove the intake manifold cover.

Q: How do you replace the camshaft position sensor (intake)?
A:
You can remove the intake manifold cover and the fuel pump cover, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the intake camshaft position (CMP) sensor, remove the CMP sensor bolt and remove the CMP sensor.

You can tighten the fastener to 10 Nm (89 lb in).
