Q: What is the removal procedure for the Power Vacuum Brake Booster?
A:
The procedure is to remove the vacuum brake booster vacuum sensor and hose, remove the master cylinder, the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV), the BPMV bracket, the brake pedal position sensor, and the vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer nut, disconnect the vacuum brake booster pushrod, remove the 4 vacuum brake booster nuts, pull the vacuum brake booster forward, remove the vacuum brake booster and inspect the vacuum brake booster gasket for damage.

You can install the vacuum brake booster gasket, the vacuum brake booster, and the vacuum brake booster nuts, connect the vacuum brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal, install the vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer, rotate the vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer 360 degrees and install the vacuum brake booster pushrod retainer nut, the brake pedal position sensor, the BPMV bracket, the BPMV, the master cylinder, and the vacuum brake booster vacuum sensor and hose.

You can apply and release the brake pedal several times, raise the vehicle, disconnect the power brake booster pump hose quick-connect and the power brake booster pump electrical connector, release the power brake booster pump electrical connector retainer from the pump bracket, and remove the lower 2 power brake booster pump bolts, the upper power brake booster pump bolt, the power brake booster pump assembly, the 2 power brake booster pump nuts and the bracket.

You can inspect the power brake booster pump insulators for damage, install the power brake booster pump to the bracket, install the 2 power brake booster pump nuts, the power brake booster pump assembly, the upper power brake booster pump bolt, and the power brake booster pump bolts, tighten the power brake booster pump M8 bolt and M10 bolt, connect the power brake booster pump hose quick connect, install the power brake booster pump electrical connector retainer and connect the power brake booster pump electrical connector.
