You should remove the oil fill cap, remove the oil pan drain plug, clean and inspect the oil pan drain plug, clean and inspect the oil pan sealing surface, place the drain pan under the Oil Filter, remove the oil filter and then ensure that the oil filter gasket is still on the old filter.

You should remove the oil pan skid plate bolts and skid plate, the 2 front oil pan skid plate bolts and skid plate, the oil filter, and the Oil Filter Adapter.

You should not apply contact cleaner or other materials to the sensor or vehicle harness connectors, not damage the sensor pigtail and harness wires in such a way that the wires inside are exposed, and ensure the sensor or vehicle lead wires are not bent sharply or kinked, not remove or defeat the Oxygen Sensor ground wire and then ensure that the peripheral seal remains intact on the vehicle harness connector.
