You should select a smooth road with little or no traffic, accelerate the vehicle to 48 km/h (30 mph), use care to avoid overheating the brakes while performing this step, apply the brakes to bring the vehicle to a stop, not allow the brakes to lock and then allow sufficient cooling periods between stops to properly burnish the brake pads and rotors.

There are 2 shims attached to the Brake Pad.

You should clean the brake pad hardware mating surfaces of the caliper bracket of any debris and corrosion with denatured alcohol and allow it to dry, apply a very thin coating of high-temperature silicone brake lubricant to the pad hardware mating surfaces of the caliper bracket only, apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/4 of its travel distance, release the brake pedal, fill the master cylinder to the proper level, apply and maintain pressure on the brake pedal for 30 seconds to seat the brake pad insulators to the brake caliper pistons and brake caliper housing and then burnish the brake pads and rotors.

You should discard the brake pad shims, clean the brake pad hardware mating surfaces of the caliper bracket of any debris and corrosion, apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance, release the brake pedal, fill the master cylinder to the proper level and then burnish the brake pads and rotors.

You should not use any air tools to remove or install the brake caliper guide pin bolts, use hand tools only, install an open-end wrench to hold the caliper guide pin in line with the brake caliper, discard the brake caliper guide pin bolts, ensure the brake caliper guide pin seals are fully seated in the groove of the brake caliper guide pin and the guide pin slides freely in caliper bracket bore and then install a new brake caliper guide pin bolt.
