2010 GMC Canyon Mass Air Flow Sensor

You need to remove the air cleaner resonator and outlet duct and disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge pipe from the throttle control module. Then you need to disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the Throttle Body control module and remove the throttle control module bolts. After that, you need to remove the throttle body control module and the seal from the intake manifold. Finally, you need to clean the gasket surface.

You need to remove the air cleaner outlet duct, and disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. Then, you need to disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump inlet hose quick-connect fitting from the air cleaner assembly. After that, you need to disengage the 2 air cleaner housing retainers. Finally, you need to open the air cleaner housing cover and remove the Air Filter element.

You need to disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector, and press the retainer locking tabs inward, then pull the retainer up. Then you need to remove the MAP Sensor from the intake manifold. Finally, you need to inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage and replace it as necessary.
