The procedure is to install the pitman arm to the power steering gear, align the marks made at the removal on the pitman arm and the pitman arm shaft, install a new pitman arm washer and nut, remove the power steering gear from the vise, install the power steering gear, and then lower the vehicle.

You need to raise and support the vehicle, remove the Idler Arm to the relay rod retaining nut, disconnect the idler arm from the relay rod, and then remove the idler arm to frame mounting bolts and the idler arm from the vehicle.
Q: What is the recommended torque for the relay rod retaining nut?
A:
The recommended torque is 112 Nm (83 lb-ft).
Q: How do you install the relay rod?
A:
You need to install the relay rod to the vehicle, the relay rod to the pitman arm and idler arm, the new relay rod to the idler arm retaining nut, the new relay rod to the pitman's arm retaining nut, the inner tie rods to the relay rod and the inner tie rods to relay rod retaining nuts, tighten the inner tie rods to relay rod retaining nuts, lower the vehicle, and then verify the wheel alignment.
