You need to disable the SIR system, and then remove the ignition switch, the turn signal cancel cam, the park lock cable from the lock cylinder housing, 5.3 TORX(R) screws, and the lock cylinder housing from the steering column.

Q: What is the removal procedure for the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
The procedure is to disconnect the battery negative cable, disable the SIR system, remove the steering column trim covers, turn the ignition lock cylinder to the start position, insert the tip of an awl into the access hole of the ignition lock cylinder, push down and hold the retaining pin of the ignition lock cylinder, release the ignition lock cylinder to the run position, and then remove the ignition lock cylinder.
