Q: How do you install the relay rod?
A:
You need to install the relay rod to the vehicle, the relay rod to the pitman arm and idler arm, the new relay rod to the idler arm retaining nut, the new relay rod to the pitman's arm retaining nut, the inner tie rods to the relay rod and the inner tie rods to relay rod retaining nuts, tighten the inner tie rods to relay rod retaining nuts, lower the vehicle, and then verify the wheel alignment.

A:
The procedure is to raise and suitably support the vehicle, loosen the inner tie rods to the relay rod retaining nuts, remove the inner tie rods to the relay rod retaining nuts, rotate the steering linkage to remove the inner tie rods from the relay rod, remove the idler arm to relay rod retaining nut and the pitman arm retaining nut, disconnect the relay rod from the idler arm and the relay rod from the pitman's arm, and then remove the relay rod from the vehicle.
